Programs
Thunderbird's tripartite foundation of business courses, international and regional studies, and language and communication includes a broad
range of business specializations.
Thunderbird's MBA in International Management offers a comprehensive education in managing business in a global context and is an ideal
choice for those looking for a career on an international scale. We offer two MBA tracks.
Track 1 is the comprehensive Thunderbird experience. This four-trimester program includes study of a second language and more
comprehensive coursework in regional studies. It is recommended that students take advantage of the multitude of exchange and internship
programs offered. Track 1 offers a more in-depth knowledge base of international studies and/or a greater concentration of a specific
region.
Track 2 a three-trimester program, is designed to be completed in one calendar year. This track also includes a full complement of global
business, cross-cultural and regional studies. In lieu of language study, students are required to participate in a Winterim program and
are encouraged to choose one of those offered outside the United States. Track 2 is also ideal for those students who come to their MBA studies
with multi-language capabilities and international work/life experience already in hand.
Our experience has shown that many students develop a particular regional interest once they've immersed themselves in Thunderbird's
global community or come to us with that interest already. Once again, the flexibility at Thunderbird allows for students, who are enrolled in
the three-trimester program, to transfer to the four-semester track if they choose.
With both tracks, students specialize in international management and choose a functional focus of Marketing, Finance or International
Development.
In addition to its full-time degrees, Thunderbird offers various graduate study programs, including a Dual-degree program, Certificate
programs, Post-MBA and Executive Education programs.
The choice is yours. The Thunderbird program is designed to provide each student with the options they need and studies to reach their
