CHICAGO SCHOOL OF PROFESSIONAL PSYCHOLOGY
The
Chicago School of Professional Psychology (in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Online)
is the nation’s leading nonprofit school dedicated exclusively to psychology and
related fields. The school is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and
an active member of the National Council of Schools and Programs of Professional
Psychology, which has recognized The Chicago School for its distinguished
service and outstanding contribution to cultural diversity and advocacy.
Our approach to psychology training and education is distinctive in several
important ways:
- Emphasis on applied learning. Our
students learn by doing, and they leave us with powerful and full resumes.
In addition to a traditional internship, our students enjoy a rich spectrum
of clinical training, community service, and applied field research
opportunities that prepare them for success in a way few other schools can.
- Focus on diversity. We actively
infuse all of our academic programs with curricula to build students’
knowledge of and competence in working with people from diverse cultures,
backgrounds, and perspectives.
- Practitioner faculty. Our faculty
members are focused not just on theory and research, but on meeting the
real-world challenges of individuals, organizations, and society. They bring
their years of professional experience into the classroom, providing a
rich—yet powerfully practical—educational experience for our students.
