School for International Training seeks English Trainers to participate in the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Fellowship Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. Fellowships offered in eastern and central Europe, Russia, and other newly independent states to work with EFL teachers in universities, institutions and associations. Qualifications: U.S. citizenship, minimum MA/TEFL + significant teaching training experience. Benefits: $21,000 stipend plus living allowance/benefits. The Fellowship’s starting date is on/about September 1, 2000. Applications will be accepted through April 2000.

The School for International Training (SIT) is recruiting for the English Teaching Fellow (ETF) Program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. ETFs teach in universities and bi-national centers around the world. Year-long assignments may include up to 20 classroom contact hours and teacher-training activities. Includes curriculum materials development, conference presentation, and peer classroom observation. The fellowship requires U.S. citizenship and a recent (within the last five years) MA with emphasis on TESL/TEFL. Apply by April 10, 2000.
